The British ppl voted for the current British Government in a determined way - whether the nay sayers like it or not.
How can a sane person arrive at the conclusion that somehow voters figure this is not their choice?

Edit: to guys trying to understand reality - the above chart was posted by the Commons less that one month ago - the election was on US Independence Day - less than 2 months ago.
If you look at “numbers of seats,” yes.
If you look at “share of the vote,” a very different picture emerges: Labour got 33.7%; Conservative and Reform together got 38.0%. The democracy is in the counting-system as well as the voting-system. 
Starmer’s election win is real in terms of MP’s returned. But it’s a farce when it coms to democratic process.
Fewer people voted for Starmer than voted for Corbyn. Corbyn won only 202 seats Labour’s worst perfomance since 1935.
Starmer’s win was the least representative in British election history. Most people who voted did not get the MP they voted for.
Starmer’s administration is built on sand. He’s a weak man in a weak position.
An anomaly indeed (but thank God Corbyn was never close to winning an election - there was a truly terrifying prospect!!!). 
I am very concerned at how Starmer reacts now to bolster his political position. A weak man throwing his weight around raise an ugly prospect when we the silent majority are the collateral damage.
Plus of course, all the leftist groups, bodies, institutions and not least the Trade Unions, all know how weak his position is, and how large is his Commons majority. No wonder the Unions are starting to lodge ambitious demands: no wonder these are being met.
The thing I am now more optimistic about is civil war within the Labour Party, leading to a backbench rebellion, leading to a no confidence vote - meaning either replacement of Starmer as leader of the party, or even a vote in the Commons. But I always thought that Starmer’s Labour government, if it gained a large majority, would be torn apart from internal demands.
See here lies the conundrum - the British call it 1st past the post, divided into electoral seats - the US have their college - France have their 2nd round - rest of Europe have proportional representation.
We have it here (excl Westminster elections where we put an X to one choice) - it’s great - no.1 like him/her best, no 2 yeah go for it, no.3 ok if the last 2 dont make it - and so on.
Problem with silent majorities - they make no noise.
Edit: Tom - no more likely a bb revolt that was with Tony when he was in charge - they like their seats - it’s an easy life & an easy income.
An issue with Proportional Representation is that it is not a single unique system with the same rules every place and every time it is used. So if a person says they support PR it’s impossible to know what sort of PR they want. A referendum or a vote by Parliament on the proposal to introduce PR is therefore meaningless - nobody could possibly know what they were voting for.
Even if the precise PR rules are set out before the referendum, once a system with variations is introduced, then nobody could know what sort of PR we might get the following year. The possibilities and temptations for the system to be revised simply to game the best result for the party in control of the process are obvious.
However, FPTP is too crude a tool for us to put absolute faith in it.
The way we do it here - candidates are listed in alphabetical order with their political party listed alongside - if no party then ‘independent’
I vote in order of preference 1 to 1st choice, 2 to 2nd etc
If I’m a ‘leftie’ then likely no 1 to the raving mooney guy - then thinking he will lose 2 to who might actually make it & he is kinda half a looney.
All the mooney votes go to the no 2 when mooney fails to get to the qualifying number (based on total votes cast)
If I’m an outright left wing nutter then I vote only no.1 - if I’m a particular political party supporter and absolutely no one outside of that party - then no.1 & 2 or if a 3rd - but nobody else.
Then again if I’m a thinker - I’ll choose with thought.
Edit: sad thing you guys in GB & US - everything in politics is binary - left vs right , just seeing tonight RFK Jnr drops out as an Ind - yet in doing doing so feels the need to be one side or the other.

2 things blew my fuse about the so-called unrest in NI re Southport - 1st was the ‘protest’ where guys from Coolock in Dublin waving Irish flags & loyalists from Belfast waving Union flags joined forces.
Then some of them decided to do Nazi salutes - clowns that know nothing of the suffering caused during ww2. My teenage Mum left NI (alone) to be a nurse in Bradford Royal Inf to do her bit to alleviate - and these clowns salute … grrr
2nd thing that caused the halo slip was the pic of the pub I posted - it is owned by a guy & his family from Nepal - a country that has produced the famous Gurkas - a regiment feared by GB’s enemies throughout history - the clowns that torched the pub scrawled ‘muslims out’ on the walls - again grrr…
Edit: there were other ‘salutes’ at the ‘protest’ on show - 5 finger salutes - reference to a particular atrocity that occurred at a bookies when 5 punters were murdered - was sad to see but par for the course.
