I was wondering how do u get the news fastest…I dont mean CPI numbers or what not…I Mean news like todays subprime losses…where an event caused the market to form a trend…
is subscribing to bloomberg a way of knowing major events that may cause reaction in currencies the fastest way possible? thanks…
Aside from actual news releases like data and major speakers, no service is really going to be on top of things in terms of helping you trade it. They will always be lagging. You really need to be directly wired in to the market (and I mean the traders themselves) to have any shot at knowing about things as they are happening. And even if you are well connected it’s no guarantee. I work with guys who have very good contacts (fixed income/money market) and even they oftentimes are scrambling to try to find out what’s moving prices.
