Going offshore to escape the CFTC

Unreal, this stuff drives me bonkers with coinbase. Even tho they are supposedly “regulated“ they do stuff like this that a traditional bank would never get away with.

i know it’s crazy because i use to have 50k ACH bank transfer

I just checked, mine is 50K as well. I guess paying $10 for the wire isn’t a big deal. My only concern is they t hold my money and not allow ANY withdrawal.

RE: Paypal

They also have a 1% cashback debit card and a 2% Mastercard available. That’s as fast as it gets and both help offset all the crypto fees. You can almost use paypal like a bank.

Other than…

How does the FDIC protect PayPal?

PayPal is not a bank and it is not insured by the FDIC. FDIC insurance does not protect you against the risk of PayPal’s insolvency.

i never hold money in my paypal account as soon as money hit my paypal account i withdraw it, could paypal go belly up in the 10mins they hold my money  i don’t know

Probably not, I was referring to post regarding using paypal almost like a bank. Obviously, the entire issue with trading offshore is to have as much money sitting in “protected places”. As I’ve explained before the goal is to only have about 7% of trading capital at any one broker. If using 5 brokers as I am, means 35% of your capital is being held as margin, I need that other 65% insured. To me, this is much safer than trading with any of the CFTC brokers. If I’m using 50K as my trading capital, no single broker has more than $3,500.

Sorry… I should have clarified: Debit card to w/d cash. CC for purchases. Pay the CC off and the rest comes out of the ATM. Your money is out immediately and you get 2% cash back on everything while your money stays at work at your broker. Using this contraption, I have withdrawals down to once a month.

Gotcha, so you’re never actually “holding” money at paypal.

Hello Small Paul
Are you still following the 7 transfer steps you posted back in Sept 2018 ?
Could you give more details on # 3 … setting up a limit order on coinbase pro.

Thanks

EagleFx and Cryporocket are changing game by processing withdrawals really fast. But having used them for a while along with few other brokers like Coinexx, Traders’Way and Hugosway, I can say that I never faced MT4 freezing issue with Coinexx. I generally deposit USDC with them and find Coinexx overall better than the rest of them. After I read this thread, I did my research on this case that they had on forexpeacearmy. But it turned out that it was an imposter and FPA had dismissed the case. So I guess we can be relieved there. Their spreads are generally really low as per my research, what do others have to say?

I have experienced heavy MT4 freezing with Cryptorocket, but for demo-only. They refuse to acknowledge the problem. I cannot say whether or not this occurs on their live platform.

yes a few times their live mt4 froze on me

Thank you for the list. We might need them to spread around crypto transactions.

Friendly reminder Coinbase does have that reporting threshold in their system of 20k AND 200 transactions in a calendar year. I think they all do.
Best use different alternatives if getting closer to the 20k, 200 mark to avoid paperwork.

Would love to see crypto debit cards added to the list , no kyc cards, exchanges like binance with vpn.

Binance u.s. version is another option with fdic, but I don’t have account with them. Their withholding periods and requirements for fund in & out are stated on the site. At least they come clean

EDIT:
For those are new about which exchange to use

For those to use or trade (better spread than fx brokers), kyc , no kyc, decentralized, centralized, instant exchanges

Not much for crypto debit card, ( last op edit was 3 years), but a start as we need more

Sorry I am not allowed to post links , just take away = sign if interested
