This is my second ‘enrollment’ here, as I apparently lost my original credentials since I first enrolled and took the PIPS school back in 2009 or 2010. Since, then I have absorbed quite a bit from here and elsewhere, lost about $1,000 in a small account and have traded only via a demo account since 2011. I have experimented with various ‘techniques’ during my paper trading. Some worked out (luckily, I presume), but most did not, as my demo account is about 50% gone, mostly within this year. More recently, a medium-to-long term trading approach seems to be better suited for me. Scalping and short-term trading takes more work than I care for. I am more committed to utilizing my experimentation failures as a ‘not what to do’ basis for making better decisions. I have also learned that trading in a silo is not my ‘cup of tea’. I envision my older brother and I collaborating while trading in our later years, but that is not happening, just yet. So, I hope to find some camaraderie here, with like-minded folks. Cheers, as my second journey begins.
Greetings sambocaesar and welcome! Thanks for sharing your background in the markets; it’s very interesting. It does take a while to find out what works for us in terms of our individual needs and situation in life, which is why perseverance is an essential quality to have. I hope that you can find some buddies to trade with that match your trading style here in the forums. Cheers back at ya buddy and good luck on your second go round!
