To be totally honest it does make little difference having your own PC for trading with more than one monitor while starting out.
But like any business it can be beneficial to have equipment that is used purely for that purpose in mind - it helps to separate out everyday activities and those of work. This is obviously assuming you treated trading as a separate entity.
Fiber-optic high speed broadband and a top spec PC will not give you any edge. You want a fast refresh rate of the price feeds coming into you from your broker, and its the brokers side who usually limits the speeds that these are sent to yourself - thus you cant change this.
There are people here who have all the bells and whistles with respect to their PC arrangement, and in my view it’s totally unnecessary - these people just have a geek childhood coming through
Unless someone can provide some correlation between profitability and the cost of your PC arrangement I will never be changing my mind anytime soon!
many thanks!
I trade on a laptop. No. It doesn’t. When it is your profession, then upgrade.
