Have heard good things about scion forex autotrader, has anyone tried it before?

Hi guys,
After reading some positive (so far) opinions I decided to give it a try, especially that they have one month free trial. Set up everything but from yesterday EA didn’t make any trade. I’m not sure is it allright. Is there anybody using it who can confirm trades taken? I would like to be sure I set up everything properly. Thank you

On the 29nth 3 trades were taken.

EUR/USD +34 PIPS
GBP/JPY -27 PIPS
USD/CAD +45 PIPS

Looking great so far. If your results are looking different you need to contact them asap and have them look at your settings and platform.

Looks promissing indeed. No trades on my account unfortunately, I contacted support yesterday (very helpful). After their help, I got a first trade today (buy EUR/JPY) - still in play and one waiting order on EUR/USD. I had to change broker to get it to work (sth wrong with xm.com - EA doesn’t work with them).
They don’t have list of trades taken on their website, so maybe it’s a not bad idea to list them here - just to make sure our accounts are working ok.

1.08.2014
EUR/JPY -2,1 pips
EUR/USD +6,9 pips
USD/CAD +29,8 pips

4.08.2014
EUR/JPY +28,8 pips
GBP/USD +10,5 pips

Thanks for posting Boniekt, nice results.

The one thing I like about this thread and the reviews of this system is that it is low key, no fan fare and it seems like it produces good quality and consistent pips. Just what I’m looking for in an EA. I appreciate the people who have shared. Cheers!

5.08.2014
NZD/USD -9,7 pips
EUR/USD +69,2 pips
USD/CAD +27,3 pips

EUR/JPY +28,5 pips

Hi all,

Another Scion Forex Auto Trader here. I would like to thank all those of you who have contributed to this thread. Good stuff!

I bypassed the 1 month free trial last week and just went with one of their recommended brokers, Tallinex. Opened up a live $100 live micro account with them. The Auto Trader EA is working like a charm. I didn’t have the EA up and running until Monday 08/05, the 2nd day of the opening week. So not too sure if any trades opened up on Sunday 08/04.

I had 7 trades open up for the 4 day week. 4 winners for a profit of +125 pips. 2 losers for a loss of -60 pips. 1 trade, the EUR/USD still open at -28 pips at this post. So +37 pips up in 1 week’s time. But for last week, just +12 pips.

Now 2 of those trades, the 2 EUR/USD sell trades that opened on 08/05, came within 5 pips of hitting their take profit targets. I was asleep at the time when this happened. If those two would of hit, my take profit for the week would of been around +144 pips. Almost a 15% profit in one week. Not too bad.

Hopefully this 2nd week will do much better.

Perhaps you guys can help me out here… When I left to work today, I left my computer on, but forgot to open my MT4 platform. Didn’t get home until almost 1:00am PST. Were there any trades taken by the EA at the London Open that I missed? Thanks!

Brian

Hi all,

I just wanted to share this info with you all and get your opinion on it…

First of all, I want say how great Scion Forex’s customer support is. I’ve been emailing with Shane, one of their support reps there at SF, and he’s been able to answer all of my questions so far. A+ support! This makes a big difference when your dealing with a company.

Anyway, I asked Shane how the Auto Trader EA determines the lot sizes, according to your balance, and this was his response…

“The EA will automatically scan your balance. For accounts $500 and lower, micro lots. Balances between $500-3000, mini lots are used and with balance of $3000 or more, regular lots are used. You can manually change the lots size at anytime.”

Now I have been learning about Forex trading for a year and a half now… and from what I’ve learned so far is this… that the recommended minimum account balance for trading mini lots is $2000.

All I can gather from this so far… is that the professional traders at Scion Forex must have extreme confidence in their Auto Trader EA.

Now personally, I wouldn’t feel comfortable trading mini lots with a $500 account. Perhaps a $1000 account. If trades are averaging a 50 pip stop loss, then we’re talking about a risk factor of 5% with a $1000 account. Which should be the max.

Your thoughts would be very much appreciated on this subject. Thanks!

Brian

I agree with bbatis. Their support is real solid. Their response was similar to mine as well. The Scion Forex EA automatically detects how much money you have in your account and manages your risk to the least possible. But you can manually always change that. For example I had started with 50 dollars in my account and the default lot was 0.01, I increased it to 0.05 and I am doing fine. I guess they want to protect your account which is good.

Thanks for your input tunucks! I’m wondering what happen to everyone else. :31:

TWC Internet service went down across the country last night, so not sure if I missed any trades or not.

Would appreciate if you could share with me all the trades that were opened this week. Thanks!

bb

All were winners For last week here are the results…

EUR/JPY +28 pips
AUD/USD +1 pips
GBP/USD +8 pips
USD/CAD Break-Even

Results for today!

GBPUSD= +32 pips
USDCAD = +45 pips
EURJPY = +28 pips

Man this thing is really impressing. This has been the 9nth consecutive win. This is by far the best ea I have used in the 13 years that I have been trading. I am trying to get more information on Scion Forex, they must work for a massive banking firm to get such entries. :smiley:

I am following this threat from the start but I am still confused… Are you guys talking about the “free t-shirt EA”? scionforexautotrader_dot_com My bull**** meter started to rang when I visited this webiste…

If it is; I will open an account too :slight_smile:

Yes the scion forex autotrader is the one we are discussing and posting the results for. That’s the same one.

cool! Thanks for your reply; does anyone have a myfxbook or other account site to display the results? I also read something in regards to a free month, I can not find any offering for that. Did you guys also ordered the EA by this website?

That is just their sales page I believe. It’s the same EA and same service. I subscribed to their EA directly from their website. I check that link that you pasted and the contact page redirects to their website, so it is the same EA more than likely.

I am running the one month free trial. Lot size is 0.10 on a 700 euro account. I will link myfxbook account after some results here so we can compare brokers and entries :slight_smile:

now… some pipz plz!

Just to confirm, any other trades taken by the EA this past week, besides the 3 on Monday for +105 pips? Thanks in advance!

GBPUSD= +32 pips
USDCAD = +45 pips
EURJPY = +28 pips

Only this three trades has been taken on my account, so looks very good so far :slight_smile:

Thanks boniekt!
