Itās $99 a month to use the Scion Forex AutoTrader. But you can use it for free if you go with one of their two recommended brokers. Either IC Markets or Tallinex. I went with Tallinex because their minimum deposit to open an account is only $100. IC Markets is $200 minimum. Both appear to be ātrue ECN brokers.ā In other words, they donāt take trades against you. At least thatās what Iāve heard. 
I will just follow here. This EA sounds interesting. But Iām pretty new to the forex industry, Iām almost through the BP school.
Do you know if you have to use Tallinex MT4 to get the free access to Scion Forex EA? Or if I just can use MT4 and find the server of Tallinex live account? I hope that Iām clear in my question. It would be fun to open a $100 live account and see where it goes.
have any of you tried to install it on a macbook pro? I got MT4 installed through wine.
Yesā¦ you have to open a live account with one of their recommended brokers to use the AutoTrader EA for free. Once you open up your live account, then just contact Scion Forex and they will set you up.
Should be no problem, as MT4 platform works with Mac.

Itās weird because I thought so too, but when I change the settings as they tell you to, MT4 crashes. I can put in my username, password and IP without any crash, but when I set the checked boxes as they should be, and click OK, MT4 crashes. But i do have a windows PC at home, and I will try on that when I get home next weekend.
Kong, you could try running Windows in a Virtual Machine within Mac and then run MT4 in there. I think that should work.
Thanks, but thatās what Iām doing with Wine. Thatās a free virtual Windows machine. I donāt want to go after the paid machines, then Iāll just wait until I get home again, where I do have a Windows pc.

So from reading the posts, it sounds like Scion is doing fairly well, but how does a person check their history? They donāt have a Myfxbook or anything like that. They donāt even have a speadsheet on their website that shows a monthly history. How do you know that you are taking every trade that the EA takes? To me, it seems as though there is accountability or transparency, or is this just me?
Tunucks, looks like you have been with Scion for bit now, are you able to post some sort of a history?

I have had it running for most of the day, and no trade is taken. Can anybody confirm that there has been any trades today from this EA? Iām running it on a demo account, that shouldnāt be any problem?
@wallstreet44: I agree, it would be nice to have some way of checking on the trades. This is why we have this thread going, so we can check each others trades out.

Yes I can confirm that no trades have been taken the past few days but its normal. I contacted them a few hours ago and they also confirm that everything is fine and no trades have been taken yet. As soon as conditions are met, trades get taken. These guys know what they are doing so as long as you leave it running and it says youāre connected, youāre fine.

EUR/JPY -0,45 pips
I got no trades. Which Method do you use? Iām using method one.
Kong, can you post a picture of your chart so we can see? Is your broker using a prefix or suffix? If it does you have to just add that prefix in the āsymbolprefixā field.
