I am new to the site and to Forex trading. I have been spreadbetting equities on the FTSE 350 for a while with limited success (but success none the less).
I am trying to test a few system ideas I have using Strategy Tester which is on my Varengold (MT4) paper trading account.
I want to do a backtest using quite simply two EMAs, I can only seem to get it to test with one. I have poked around the help menu. but found it difficult to navigate so I thought I would post here to see if someone could help me without too much trouble, but also to say Hi, and that I think this is a brilliant site. I went on a £2500 Traders University course back in Dec 08, and I can honestly say this site gives alot of info that was within the course!
Are you having trouble with coding the strategy into MQL? May want to try the help guides on mql4.com . More extensive than the help menu in MT4. Or try the expert advisor section of babypips Expert Advisors and Automated Trading. I myself am terrible at this
