Hello everybody! My name's Danny

Hi everyone! My name is Danny Fitzgibbons and I’m reasonably new to Babypips.com.

I’m an Aussie guy based in Sydney. I lived in London for a couple of years from 2005-2007 with my now wife and for most of my term there I worked for Greg Secker’s Traders University. It was during my time with Traders University that I was first introduced to the world of trading. During that time I also got my hands on Andy X’s Insider Signal DVD course. Both courses gave me a good look into the basics of trading and whilst I kind of understood the stuff I learned it didn’t translate into any success in the markets. I lost roughly £3000 over the course of about 12 months due to over trading and ended up kind of giving up on it.

Now, 6 years later something inside me got me excited about trading again, so I opened a couple of demo accounts (CMC Markets and IG Markets). Over a 1 month period I increased both demo accounts by 25% via the application of some basic support/resistance breakout strategy I remembered from my training in London.

So then about 2 months ago, I signed up to Babypips.com and started making my way through the School of Pipsology (which is totally awesome) and a little over 1 month ago (September 9) I dropped $1000 into a live account with IG Markets. 3 weeks after funding my account I had traded it up to over $4250, but then just in the last week I lost a bunch of pips and I’m now back down to just over $2000. I’m happy that I’ve doubled my bank in my first month but disappointed that my over trading last week caused me to drop my account by 1/2 from the $4250 high point.

I’ve only been trading the Cable market and have been using the daily timeframe for identifying major levels and overall trend, the four hourly for minor levels and short term trend and hourly for set ups and entry/exit.

Anyway, just thought I’d say hi and introduce myself. I think this forum is an awesome idea and I look forward to sharing my trading journey with you folks and hopefully we can held each other out!

Cheers,

Danny.
