Learn how to preserve your account, first of all. Then how you react to emotional responses. As far as trading Gold, it’s totally how you react to market movement that will matter.
XAU/USD is the most crazy pair in Forex market when comparing with others. If you trade XAU/USD, let try with smallest size, 0.01, and always set stop loss. With XAU/USD, you can learn about double-top, double-bottom strategy, it happens many many times in this market, let back test on demo account then you can see it clearly.
The last one, let learn about risk management first, the course is available in baby pips. Since you can earn $1 but you will lose $10 or more especially with XAU/USD.
