How are you?
Im from México, I´ve been some years on the market, trying to improve and be better everyday as a trader.
My early years were a headache and little by little I have been improving until now, but the road has been hard.
I would like to ask to everybody if its for real, that you can beat the market and get interesting money each month or at least in anual average…
Anyone know a trader(s), or guy(s) like that? I mean, a trader able to generate money or at least mantain the account stable?
I´ll appreciate a lot your several responses and comments in general!!!

Hola,
Welcome to babypips, it’s good that you have a little experience. The thing is that so many people ask that question on the forum that you can read the answers already written. It’s a lonely profession to learn and that should definitely be your focus, that you’re learning a profession. Try the free school here, it’s very good, and like you have been doing keep working towards your goal.
There are many that say you can only support yourself with a large balance and there are others that say you can start with little and become rich. If people tell you you can become rich by investing a few hundred dollars then they are probably a scam artist trying to get your money.
Treat forex as a business and build it up over time as you would with any other business. Study hard, improve, work hard and hopefully you can build a successful business over time.

Hey man, sorry for the late welcome but we’re glad to have you here in our forex community! Yep I do know what you mean about seeing gradual improvements in your trading career. I myself have been on a pretty long road of learning too before I got the hang of things and managed to be consistently profitable with my trades. Not really sure if anyone can really beat the market but I guess it’s more of listening to what the market is saying and playing the odds right while managing your risk properly. Worked so far for me!

I didn’t see your post so sorry for the late reply.
I am a trader but I trade for part of my income and have another business that provides the majority of my income. My goal is to have trading provide 75-80% of my income and still keep a hand in the industry I’m in. It’s roughly the other way round at the moment so I have a way to go but I’m enjoying the process.
I was always taught to have multiple revenue streams to cover any slow periods, and to be honest I would consider myself unemployable from the point of view that I have spent most of my working life working for myself (I have been “let go” from a couple of positions for wanting to do things my own way in the past!) and I prefer it that way.
I traded the London open this morning while having breakfast with my daughter, we went out for a while, then I traded the NY open and now I’m finished for the day. Can’t be a better way to work in my opinion!.
Where in Mexico are you from?. I have been to the Yucatan peninsular a few times, playa del carmen, Isla majures, cozumel etc. love it!!. I wanted to buy a bar there when I was 23 but lost my nerve.

I agree, if it can break the 1.56 zone which is a choppy area at the moment as it’s been ranging for the last three weeks or so and has been a little unpredictable from that perspective. Watch out for the 1.558 region as this caught me a couple of times last week…
Had a few stops taken out last week on this pair, which is my main pair, due to it being caught in this range but had a better day today, only profit. Will keep an eye on it myself and will look to short under 1.56
Would be interesting to see a break above the 1.57 as it’s next (major) target could well be around 1.59
