Hello! Taken a course with MTA but still struggling to succeed

Hi,

My name is James & I am new here & have been recommended by a friend. I have studied a course in London with MTA but am still struggling to grasp everything needed to become a full time trader.

A couple of friends of mine have done the course and are now profitable full time traders within approximately 6-8 Months. One of which has recommended I come on here amongst other things to continue.

I initially had taken the Course start of the Year & have been trying to pursue such since. I now have two days off work dedicated to give myself more time & even bought a new laptop solely for trading after having issues on my Imac. Now with recent news that my girlfriend has been laid off work she also wish’s to join me in trading.

So in a nutshell. Very motivated. Friendly & we will be both on here from today onwards!

Welcome!

Forex is a tough world but stick at it, go through the BabayPips school and read as much as you can in the forum, it’s a great source of info\learning.

Good Luck!

Dont take any more courses, save your money.
Like Aidy says, study at pipschool, read the threads, perhaps run a demo account for a while to trial strategy, then dip into live trades with small lots

Hi welcome to Babypips! I am also a newbie and the school is the best! Learning to trade is not easy but you got the company of other newbies and profis here at Babypips who are more than willing enough to share their expertise and experiences. All you have to do is ask  Enjoy the school!

Thanks everyone! Yes I am going through the school at the moment. I will finish going through those sections along with some other reading I have scheduled. I have been consistently getting 30 or so pips a day. But I still need a broader knowledge of trading I feel. Yes I will get involved on the forums & if there is anything else you guys would recommend I am all ears! No more courses for me, certainly not until I make enough consistent profits anyway. I am interested in seeing what the guys at Astro FX are working on. But again, not until I make some more progress on my own. & by the sounds of things with quite a bit of time spent here also.

Stay away from Astro fx, nothing to learn there except quick way to part you from your money. Look at the threads here and reviews elsewhere about them.
Remember, those that can’t, teach.

I have found that to get the most out of babypips answer questions rather than ask (but don’t be afraid too). It the best way to test your knowledge. Also trade for yourself. Your girlfriend too. Don’t care for what each other does or what anyone else does. At the end of the day we all do the same thing, its pretty boring. The hows and whys are unique to each of us making this game subjective and deeply selfish. Look forward to the journey not the destination.

Never give up! You can do it. Limitations are there to make you stronger

I’ve also learned “more” by helping others to find information and answer their questions… often I’ve seen people ask things that I never thought of and when I have found the answer I’ve discovered that it has been useful information for me too…

Thank you everyone for such positive messages. I honestly didn’t know what to expect when initially putting my welcome post up, but this overwhelmingly good & positive. I will remember & take all of you guys advice. Sorry I haven’t gotten back to you all as well I have been away. But I am back on the school of pipology for all of today & tomorrow now. I shan’t give up either as I feel I’ve spent too much time & effort to get myself where I am. I just need to finish the job & get all the way now! Thanks & have a good day guys.
