Hello I am new to Forex trading and I am looking for a broker. I paper traded on FXCM and did ok. The spreads seemed a little thick. I realize its not a real account and everything but I would like to do more high frequency trading. From what I have read ECN seems to be the best for this “scalping” strategy. I live in the US. So a couple questions:

Do I need a US broker to be in the clear in regards to CFTC?

What is a legitimate/reputable ECN broker in the US (if from what have read is what I need otherwise non-us would be helpful as well)?
P.s. I am new and know nothing about this so do be a smug a$$.
