So I downloaded it, it installed correctly, and ran it through the strategy indicator. I got nothing on the GBP/JPY or the USD/JPY from 2004 to present… By nothing I mean ziltch, not one trade…
Am I missing something from lack of experience, am I missing a setting, What is the problem?
Edit: Thanks to the suggestion of the first 2 replies that the system was made only for the gbp/usd I just ran that trough the tester, and again got nothing.
Yes it was made for cable and has only been tried for that pair.
I tried this when I very first started trading so for interest sake, I always check the Cowabunga blog to see how he is doing. The system has gone through a very rough period as far as results go. Just wanted to make you aware of that in case you weren’t.
I also downloaded the indicator but if you do want to trade this method, I would say do it manually. It’s very easy to understand and easy to implicate.
I take it you ran the EA through the strategy tester, not the indicator (cause in your first post the link you provided for the indicator link is the same as system link so I may be off base here) ?
If so, the problem has probably got to do with the stoploss, takeprofit, & trailing stop settings. If you look at the journal tab of the strategy tester it may show a lot of ordersend error 130’s? Before running the EA again, go into the “Expert Properties” of the strategy tester (unless you know how to modify & recompile the code in MetaEditor) and add a 0 to the takeprofit, stoploss settings & trailingstop settings. So if it says 30, make it 300, or 20 make it 200. 30 is actually 3 pips, which is will cause an error because it’s too low.

First off, I am not seeing any of those errors in the journal, Second I am not seeing where to change those settings in the modify expert settings… I am really new at the metatrader platform and EAs
However, I do have the complete journal if that helps you help me…
