Help with an EA

Hello

Please someone help me, i want to modify this EA to do opposite of what does right now: instead of buy to place sell and instead of sell to place buy, inverse trading, but i don’t know any programing.

I could modify this for you, but I won’t because it’s a Martingale system.

You will lose all your money if you try to trade this way. It’s not a matter of if, it’s a matter of when!

Please do not use this EA or trade any type of Martingale system!!!

I have not looked at the EA so I am not sure about this.

He may be trying to modify the EA to trade an anti-Matingale system. Which shares the word Martingale in its description but is a completely different way to manage risk. One that I use to scalp and believe if done with set rules and limits can speed up the growth of your account.

Any MM scheme can not over the long term turn a negative expectancy system into a winner. So its no grail just another tool to have around when you need it.

So to the original poster can you let us know exactly what you are trying to do I am curious.

I took a look at the code and every time it has a losing trade this EA places the next trade with 1.5 times the previous lot size. So technically it is semi-Martingale instead of full blown doubling-down, but it’s still a disaster waiting to happen.

i don’t use the martingale just the signals from stochastic, i set up the the multiply factor to 1.

i want to test what happen if this EA does the opposite of what he does beacause what he does now is loosing

I’m not at home and don’t have MT4 installed where I am, but if you go through the code and reverse “ticketbuy” and “ticketsell” it will do what you’re wanting.

In other words, everytime is says “ticketbuy” in the code change it to “ticketsell,” and everytime it says “ticketsell” change it to “ticketbuy.”

I have changed all the ticketbuy and ticketsell but it doesn’t reverse the orders :frowning:

Maybe there was something I overlooked. I’ll look at it again on Monday when I can test it in MT4 and fix it for you, unless someone else beats me too it! :slight_smile:
