Hey

Hi!
My name is Steve and I finally signed up in here, I went thru babypips school a wile ago.

I have been interested in Forex/Trading about over a year, I had good success with demo accounts but not as good with live account. Lost xxxx $ and blew my account :34: , I’m not really mad about it since I took it as a learning lesson. That has taught me more then any other trading school ever has - you, your emotions and your discipline.
So I don’t necessarily agree that “Don’t open live account until you have traded x amount of months in demo” , of course you should have a understanding of the market/strategies and some demo trading with the platform so you know how to use it. :45:

Cheers

Hey Steve and welcome to the BabyPips.com community! Sound like you’ve gone thru what a lot of us go thru: success with demo and then lose live. Incorporating the psychological aspect of real risk is something you don’t get in demo and can seriously affect proper decision making. So I agree with ya in that while a hard number shouldn’t be used for how long you wait to go live, but you should definitely have all aspects of risk management practiced in many different market environments first. Thanks for sharing and hope to hear more from you soon!
