Hello I’m new and ready to learn all I can. I have been in the US Army for 38 years and will get out in a few years. My desire is to learn enough about trading to have it become my new career/business.

as a beginner trader it is more appropriate to trade in a practice account as demo , this is a good place to be a knowledgeable trader even though most of us dont believe the importance of demo.

demo is really good but the knowledge we get from our this trading place actually not works when trading in a live.
instead of demo it is more appropriate to trade in a micro account. its really supportive to make sure live knowledge and experience.
Trading is a tough vocation to get into. Treat it like starting something like Med School. It will be long, tough and require knowledge and practice. Most will not make it.
yes agree with you , knowledge and practice is a very good combination which can bring good amount of profit
@Peter_Siddle yes sure is, Demo account is the best place to start with. I make use of ForexChief Met4, on registration I was given a $100,000 which I make use of to learn in y Demo Account.
