I finally had enough time to come up with an introduction for myself. So here it goes!
My name is Huck and I run a blog here on BabyPips.com, The Loonie Adventures of a Forex Noob. How did I end up writing for BabyPips, you ask? I met Forex Gump more than a couple of years ago while working as a barista and he offered me a blog here.
I mostly focus on discretionary swing trades on the 1-hour and 4-hour charts, but I sometimes spend time on 15-minute charts when time permits or there’s a REALLY good setup. All my discretionary trading is done in a live account.
I also have a mechanical trading system called the HLHB Trend-Catcher 3.0 that I forward-test on demo. I believe that mechanical trading can be profitable, as long as you adjust your rules to match the market environment.
Like most of you guys, I only trade on the side. I’m a full-time barista/manager somewhere in the East Coast now but I’m definitely hoping to someday make forex trading my full-time job.
