Hi. New to forum. Been learning the craft for a good 3 year. Just want to interact with like minded people and maby make a few friends along the way.
Good evening and welcome to the baby pips Community. How’s your trading journey been so far? The epic roller coaster it was never made out to be from the go? . Whats your favoured approach to the charts and how you look to trade price? Any particular strategies you’ve found consistent or suitable for you?
Iv tried god only knows how many strats and indicators alongside countless hours of ta and eventually settled on a combination of pvsra, market maker method with ema strategy. Combined with general psychology and a fleeting glance of fundamental news to allow for an offset in behaviour. Gives me a pretty consistent method that I can follow robotically with well manged risk. Effectively it can build some of the best positions if taken into account at a reversal having used the lower time frame Emas to scalp a retrace, any signs of a reversa will become apparent with for example an extended move away from the 50hr id expect price tonretrace to it usually recovering a previous vector candle (one of noteable volume and could be taken as the market maker stepping in and filling the markets orders and allowing them to realise a return on their positions) the recovery to me would be the market maker realising a return on their positions (not allways a full candle but 50% at time providing they were able to get enough of their positions filled at a different level to cancel out any loss on any positions withing the remaining 50%) but by following these cyclical moves and examining how price acts at resistances I look for an overall intention. Why ill rarely take a breakout trade. On average id get a better entry using just the ema crossovers and price bouncing as signals so if price is “faking out” im able to exit my trade after confirmation it was only pulling in liquidity to fill higher shorts or lower longs . Not that I dont consider them … they have a strong effect on the general psychology of everyone universally and allows a self fulfilling prophecy to incurr at times
Hi, surepips
My journey so far has been like a ride at Alton Towers lol.
Best strategy for me is to trade extremes and zone to zone daytrading. coupled with a risk management strategy. It gives me a high win rate and consistency and that for me personally is a winner. I don’t like to be wrong lol. So yes, I guess you could say I’m a scalper./daytarder 1hr anchor with 15 & 5 for entries after a top down approach.
Love the charts, Love the process. Just completely addicted! lol
Welcome to the community, @finni1980. Good luck on your fx trading journey. Hope to hear more from you in the future.
I also agree with surepips. Trading life is a roller coaster. I am consistently getting heart attacks. Haha.
