What is scalping PLS
Its a good way to lose money.
Says who? I know lots of scalpers who make money. I know people who trade using EA’s; they make money as well.
Although the popular agreement is that scalping is harder to manage, it’s 100% possible to make money scalping.
I scalp at times as well; it all depends on how you approach it and your discipline.
Granted, broker feeds, money management, discipline and alot of other variables influence your performance, but it’s do-able.

really guys? Google isn’t working?
I like to ask questions on babypips too…but for the really easy “word definition” stuff i encourage you to plug it into google.com first
maybe it’s just me, but it kinda brings down the caliber of information IMO, cuz folks like purple and I get discouraged about posting when we come across this stuff, and I know guys like purple and I have a fair amount to share that is helpful.

Im not very good at trading, still learning, but I can tell you this much, and this is from a personal aspect, If you cant trade Long term, you have no chance trading short term,
And sooner or later, you will find scalping is just a " situational " strategy.
Start Long term, then scale in when you have a grip on direction.
Just my 2 cents, plus spread, leaves you with .0007 cents of input on this, Ha ha

Define scalping.
If you mean taking 10-40 pip moves out of the markets several times a day… this is how i pay my bills.
If you doubt, take a look at this thread i’ve started:
I’m posting up “live” market calls, and will continue to do so…the majority targeting under 40 pips each… averaging around 25-30 pips.
I also have some screen shots of a few days of which i traded forex futures, which is my primary income. I don’t think my averge winner was any greater than 10 pips on either day I posted this, but my winrate was about 60%-83%, with larger winners than losers.
