High risk trading - I made $350 in 5mins

The USDJPY can be wicked at times, but this time it moved in my favor. I had about $650 and I used 1:500 leverage offered by Profiforex. I traded with a volume of 1 lot size. This is very risky because if it had moved against me I would have lost half of my capital. 1hr ago, USDJPY quote was 99.65, but now look at the chart.

You should try playing Roulette, usually you don’t have to wait 5 mins, typically 20 seconds.

I also did that once…I received a free no-deposit bonus (100EUR) from my broker and earned 100EUR in about 30 minutes! Don’t do it again, if it is your hard earned money!!! I totally agree with Jezzode…Forex requires discipline and patience!

Cool if you did that for 8 hours a day, just imagine how much money you could make! That’s $4200 an hour!

wow! 50% risk…
That’s one blood boiling trade. I really don’t have the guts to replicate anything close to that:10:

Dude, this is suicide. I guess I was just fortunate the USDJPY was on the straight side. Its not everyday day you get to grab such pips. Besides, I knew the risk was too high and I was playing with my funds. Moreover I made the cash and I hope to withdraw it as quickly as possible. I only take such risks once in a while.

I don’t think this is a suggestion!! Please don’t follow this! Sometime with someone this kind of something can be happened. Do the trade in the normal way! Don’t try to be silly. This is a request, not advice.

The 95% trader is losing money! Would you like to be a part of them?

Where is it written that the 95% of losers are the ones who take risks once in a while. Calculated risks is different from every other risks because the chance of success is high.

You’re going to get a lot of yes your right it’s different from all the other risks :28: : and no you’re wrong there is no difference :58:
In the end it will boil down to if you try it and it works you’ll be a genius  and when it doesn’t . . .well you can guess what some traders will call you. :17:

I know someone who would agree with you. A guy who I played poker with started trading with $500, with like 500 or 1000 to one leverage, made a pile of $$$ then went to the conservative 2% of bankroll. I don’t know if he was B.S’n or not as to how he got his start in the forex. I told him it’s like playing poker 72o, flop comes 7AJ you bet guy raises you all in with AJs, you call and turn brings a 2 and river a 7. That’s what he said he calculated the risk. (he never shared his calculations with me)

Congrats on your win but please don’t do it again :frowning:

I know it’s your funds and that the FOMC is really a pip magnet, but risking so much on one trade could one day kill your account. You got lucky this time that you should be in one of those “I shouldn’t have survived” reality shows :))

congrads on your profit, jpy just kills me,tried it the other day lost 20 buxs trying, but one day i will tame that beast lol.

I do much better on aud or nzd dont ask me why.

50% is too aggressive. If you’re going to be ultra-aggressive, you should consider studying the Kelly Criterion, which actually calculates your optimal risk level. I don’t think there are many strategies with an optimal risk level of 50%+, so your risk level is most likely sub-optimal.

50% is high, yes, but it is also important to consider the monetary value of the risk. If $300 is acceptable risk then go for it.

congratz.

Lololololololololololol

Here we go…

Really??? How do you know your chances??? WHat if at last minute market changes??? Take my advice, get tones of prozac pills because a lot of pain is about to visit you. I would say something but it would cost me another warning, so figure it out what I wanna say to you right now.

I agree with you. Every time i tell the same rule to myself, but 70% of time i dont follow it. I mean, I trade only on news, and I risk more than half of my account. For the safety of my account, I put 5 pips stop loss and 1.5 pips trailing stop. It had worked most of time. The only thing which causes to loss is my own greed. Upon the release of news volatility is high, and moves on both direction. Usually, my trades are stopped by trailing stops on profit. And then my greed says me: “hey c’mon, dont be satisfied just with it, get more!!!” and then my face is like :46:

I don’t have the guts to do that. I admire you for taking the risk. Be careful in the next trade. Stay safe.
