How calculate in excel EMA

Hi i want simply calculate a EMA in excel but is not easy way for me , someone can help me ? i want calculate all by hand i have the formula
SF = 2/(10-1) , thisis a factor
EMA (i) = EMA (i-1) + SF * [P (i) – EMA (i-1)]
i use this 10 value

0,88196
0,89143
0,89649
0,90522
0,89942
0,88975
0.88993
0.88488
0,89665

but how is possible use EMA i-1 bedfore first value?? if not exist value , it create a fake value

Use simple average as first value instead of EMA i-1.
If you’re afraid it will skew the results too much (it will not), you can just pull more OHLC data to ensure, that EMA is calculated 100% from EMAs for your analysis window.
