I am a newbie . I have a question . Where would be an good time draw a trend line on one minute charts ? I know swing lows and swing highs . The numbers varies on the chart .
Here’s my take on the same chart, edited on Paint.
If new then higher timeframes are recommended because they give you more time/room to think. Usually it’s the experts, who can read charts with a practiced eye, that’d want to attempt M1 charts.
Just a brotherly advice:
As a newbie, it’s not recommended to trade on the low timeframes as they contain a lot of noise and often create fakeouts
Better stick to the higher timeframes!
I’m a little confuse . Where did your first line and why ?
First line as in the one at 0.73580? The first two legs upwards reverse at that point. Atleast 15 candles (3 are 1 tick or so below it) come into contact with that line.
I see the line . The first to legs can you circle them .
Low timeframes contain a lot of spikes and provide less accurate information. A higher time frame is better.
Where did you start counting the 15 candles down? Do you mind emailing me ?
The # of candles that come into contact isn’t as important. You can easily count 12 that cross or come into direct contact with the line. On the 5 minute chart the # of candles will be reduced to 2-4 in this instance.
Even the line drawn isn’t important. What’s important is understanding that a reversal happened and that it happened again a short time later to give that price area/zone a significance.
Recommend reading this section and practice drawing Support/Resistance zones when you backtest/forward test. It’ll become very natural with practice over time.
Hint: If you are having a difficult time determining support/resistance zones then change the chart type to a line chart. Where price reverses generally is where the SR zones are.
#1 to #12 = Confirmed contact points
#13 to #15 = Near contacts (significant enough to reinforce SR zone)
**Edit:**Missed a 13th candle that contacts line. Perhaps you can find it
I understand more now . I will look into this .
Quite a good choice, and the result seems to have justified itself.
