I haven’t been able to figure out how to change or apply leverage or even manage my risk on the metatrader 4 demo. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
I am also looking for help on this. I have made several demo accounts setting leverage to a certain amount but it always ends up as a high leverage.
I know the trading principles don’t change but it’s easier to transition into live trading with a low leverage.

Depends on your lot size, how much you trade with.
Say you have a balance of $100 and you trade 1 lot (one lot equals $100,000). So you do this now: 100,000 / 100 = 1000. Your leverage (or multiplier) is 1:1000.
You can set the maximum leverage on your account the broker you work with, I guess for safety purposes.
