For forex trades I usually use a % of account capital between 0.5% and 2%. Its usually 1%.

When all US indices are bullish, I might be betting on the Dow at up to 5%.

I always trade based on 2% per trade, but I split trade so I put 2*1% trades on and have a TP1 and a TP2 that way Iā€™m compounding 1% and letting the other 1% run

Lots depends on different strategies, capital size, psychology and so on.

Mine is 5-10%.
