Hello guys, i am doing a general survey…here is my question…please answer honestly. How many pips do a good trader makes every week? 
Myself, 350 ~ 400 if it all goes well, as I don’t like to risk.
Wow Mr. adam2010 that are a lot of pips for a WEEK ! You must have a very good strategy !
I don’t think it matters, you should ask how much % of someone account.
From my personal perspective, you should look at this as if it’s a business. So do the accounting every month and on closed positions:
- look at monthly profit / loss
- look at % of account gained / lost
Exactly! I could tell you 20 pips and be doing exceedingly well. I could just as easily say 300 pips and be barely scraping by.

Agreed, as long as I make anything over 0 pips, I’ll be happy. It just means I didn’t lose anything.
But usually, I’m looking for 85 - 110 pips weekly.

My average has been around 180-220 pips a week eversince I started trading gbp/jpy
