Hello. I trade almost 10 times a month.
I am a trend follower and I want to know other traders’ methods.
That is depending on market conditions. Currently, my portfolio makes 20-29 transactions per month.
I am also a trend-follower, using the D1 charts to identify trends and entry opportunities. although I’m pretty consistent with regards identifying the strongest and the weakest currencies, that alone doesn’t always generate the most active price movements. I have many times entered long or short on the “best” pair, only to find that not so good trades on other pairs featuring one of the these same string and weak currencies have moved much greater pip totals.
The solution for me has been to spread buy and sell orders for small positions across multiple pairs. so, although I have short NZD/USD as my best trade for this week, I will be looking to put orders in also on other pairs to sell NZD and buy USD. But also to sell AUD and buy CAD, since these two currencies are closely related to NZD and USD.
The approach usually generates a positive return per month but the number of trades in the period varies radically. As does the length of time of holding.
