How many trades should I have open at the same time?

Trading is a complex and risky activity. Before you start trading, you must understand how many trades you should have open simultaneously. You aim to make as many profitable trades as possible while minimizing losses. There is no single answer to this question since everyone has different risk tolerance and trading style. However, here are some general guidelines that may help you decide how many trades you should have open at any given time:

  1. Start with a few trades and add more as you become more comfortable and confident with the trading process.

  2. If you are already profitable with one or two trades, consider opening additional trades to increase your profits. However, monitor your losses closely so that you do not overtrade and lose money.

  3. If you are losing money on a particular trade, stop trading that trade and move on to another one. Do not keep trading a losing position simply because you fear missing out on the short-term.

Umm, you should also be checking your leverage to make sure you’re not margin called

Only one single trade position; there is no reason to open too many trades position at a single time!

I don’t see any value to open multiple trade positions at a time; on the other hand, I know overtrading is such a common problem here! So, single trade is the only one option!

Incredible

More garbage being promoted as wisdom. Why wont people use their brains instead of sitting on them??? Jesus!
John and I both have $10k in our trading accounts. John opens a long position with a 2.0 lot size going after $100.00 profit which he gets. Brilliant.
I also go after the same $100.00 but I open 4 long positions of 0.5 (the equivalent of 2 lots like John) each at the same time which means price would not need to go as far as in John’s case for me to achieve that $100. Which trade would be the better trade? I have used the same resources as John to achieve the same goal but my target was easier. How can a single trade be the only option? Is it any wonder people struggle to be profitable at this thing?

No more than 3% risk spread across your account would be my recommendation my friend
