I’ve been in and out of the markets for a long time (futures market mainly is what I day trade) . One thing I have come to find out, is losing weeks are not as bad as many think. I can have back to back losing weeks, lose say 8% between the two weeks, then the next week I make 12% and i’m up 6% for the month. Then the final week make 4% and I close the month at 10% up not including commissions, even though half the month I lost. This is a basic example, but you probably get the idea. A good week can wipe out 2 bad weeks and put you into net % gain.
For more experienced traders, how often do you have losing weeks? I would say I have typically one a month, sometimes 2.
