i been playing around with mt5 which is linked to futures exchange using CQG i believe. But is the ‘volumes’ display really showing me standard futures volume, just like with stocks? if not, can I see it somehow? i’m not familiar with Sierra yet (more complicated) but I seemed to get different volume figures when I compare the emini SP500 charts…
Siaerra Charts is a fantastic option. As far as chartin capability goes, other than CQG (which costs over $1000) Sierra is brilliant. $25 i think it costs right?
However like you say, it is really rather complicated to use…At first.
In terms of volume, I would double check with the exchange your contract is listed on. If you go to their website you should find volume for previous days there.
What contract are you looking to find data for? I can redirect you to the correct exchange.
