How to start trading FX?

Hi what are the right platforms?

Welcome!

Go straight to the education here!! Pipsology is the way to go.

I’m trading demo using Oanda if that helps. I connected my Oanda account to Tradingview charts.

Start trading with a forex demo account to understand live market trades and learn about the trading platforms.

Four steps to making your first trade in forex.

  1. Select a currency pair. When trading forex you are exchanging the value of one currency for another.
  2. Analyze the market.
  3. Read the quote.
  4. Pick your position.
  5. ENTERING A BUY POSITION.
  6. ENTERING A SELL POSITION.
  7. Get started with FOREX.com.

I’m assuming that you are asking for a brokerage platform. If it is so, you can go for a broker with low spreads and the one who provides micro accounts. It helps in a number ways, you get to learn live trading and test whether the broker is suitable for you without risking a huge sum. TurnkeyForex can be a good choice.

Here is a great place to start and then from there you can start specialising by watching some YouTube videos. All the while learning consider things like how will trading fit into your lifestyle and what will that mean for the sort of trading you might want to participate in going forward. This will help to direct you a little when it comes to your development as a trader.

Hello @Lyncoln.Mompe,

If you’re eager to start learning about Forex, we suggest that you make your way over to the School of Pipsology, our very own guide for teaching beginners how to trade the foreign currency exchange market. We start you off in Kindergarten, teaching you Forex basics, and you progress all the way to College, learning more complex subjects. This is all self-study, done at your own pace. Along the way, stop and take one of the 50 forex trading quizzes to make sure you’ve retained the knowledge.

We also provide regularly daily and weekly updated articles (written by various industry experts) on different Forex topics, a community forum where you can exchange questions and answers with the thousands of other members, a Calendar of Forex news and events, our Forexpedia that includes Forex terms and definitions, and several broker resources for when you’re ready to open a Forex trading account.
