I tend to be at my happiest when doing things that don’t make me money:
-Cuddling with my girlfriend
-Mountain biking on a technical trail
-Getting the perfect apex in the car on a track day
-Eating amazing food in a good restaurant
-Enjoying the company of friends (can be tied in with all the above)
making money is stressful, and if its not stressful then your making money illegally lol
My take on that subject, for what is is worth, you’re both wrong.
Scotland is not blessed with the warmest of climates sman1109. Give me a warm day lying in the back garden, nothing to do but read a book, watch the kids splash about in the paddling pool, glass of coke and ice beside me, sun shining down all the while. Doesn’t make me money, doesn’t cost me money, but I’m happy as a pig in sh!t doing it.
And if you could just highlight one of the things on your list Cyco that you can do when you are broke, I’d appreciate it.
Money lets you eat, money lets you clothe yourself and your family, money lets you and the kids go places and do things you enjoy. It’s obsession with, and greed for, money that makes you unhappy.
A saying I hear mis-quoted on a very regular basis is that “Money is the root of all evil.”
The actual saying is that “THE LOVE OF MONEY is the root of all evil”.

THOG, I can do the 1st and last on my list when both rich or broke, and I have also done the 2nd in both financial positions, but it did take an amount of wealth to obtain the bike.
Reading a book in the sun is a great winter activity here, as the weather closely matches my experiences of European summers

Well then you hang on to that romantic notion Cyco, but it once WAS my experience that girlfriends and friends are a rarer commodity than money itself when you’re TRULY broke.
As for reading a book in the winter sun, I am consumed with jealousy on that front LOL !! One of the best comments I have heard recently regarding the Scottish weather came from an old fella who stated that he is now at an age when he can only remember two days every year, the first one was his birthday and the second one was summer!

…and yes I did attend a webinar for about 30 mins. Seiden method is not consistently profitable…it’s not even supply/demand…just support resistance. Supply and demand are something else, not just levels that price bounced from. Are you trading it? How’s that working out?

I occasionally read his threads and I rarely if ever commented on them.
I did follow this thread at the beginning but I stopped after sometime.
From the statements of his account where he opened 20 or 40 something positions a day, well that just shows classic psychological issues and revenge trading.
It might not be his trading method. It could be he himself, especially when he publicly announced his trading entries.
For some it might make no difference. For others, the pressure from knowing that you are now being watched by many makes trading very very hard.
Which ever it is, I dont think eremarket was here with any ulterior motives like selling killer Forex robots from mars for USD 9999.00 but for these two days only, get it for USD 39.90 or something. He shared what he knew and at times defended what he thought was right.
I wish him good luck and I hope he works out the issues he is currently facing.
For the rest, if you had learned something at all from the years you were dabbling in the market, you will know who are talking sense and who are the bull**** artist.
For newbies, my only advice is, forex can be a huge source of income, but nothing comes free, especially your millions.
The hours that are needed looking at the charts, learning, trading demo accounts etc can be equivalent to getting a professional degree.
Than there is the psychological issues to over come.
Nothing comes for free.
