Hurricane Maria

This hurricane has done tremendous damage to the island of Dominica.

I chatted with Trader’s Way at 2 am EDT.

They said that they are “fine”, but the island has been battered.

I have a bad feeling about this one.

Hurricane Maria hammers Puerto Rico with force not seen in ‘modern history’

The red shading denotes hurricane warnings for the Dominican Republic, the Turks and Cacos Islands, and the southern islands in the Bahamas.

Maria is forecast to be a major hurricane (defined as cat-2 or higher) until sometime on Sunday.

The apparent track of Hurricane Maria – straight up the U.S. east coast – may be altered by the remnants of Hurricane Jose, which is stalled about 400 miles east of the Delaware coast. Some forecasters are saying that Jose will have enough energy to drive Maria out to sea (well north of Bermuda). For those of us on the U.S. east coast, the next 7 days, or so, will be tense.
