Did you hear that AVA giving ipad2 if you open account?
I am want to open an account anyway, did someone open and got ipad2?

I heard of it here- Ipad2 | Forex Figures, I hope it’s ok to link here…
Well, I think it’s true, They know that if you will open an account they will profit so they give away ipad2
and I find this daily forex website pretty reliable.
I want to open an account but I am not sure about ava…

I think all gifts will be paid by you finally. Nothing is free at all. Anyway in different ways broker will try to return money back. So, i prefer don’t get any “free” offers and just trade with my own funds, without bonuses. (usually without)

I think so two… nothing is free in this world, but it doesn’t cost money to check it out

support you, guys, if something is free - in other place you’ll have to pay for it twice

I hope other people also advertise good opportunities! :57:

This isnt a particularly great offer if you do the maths !

For each $1 in bonus, you’ll be required to execute a minimum trading volume of $10,000 for every $1 bonus. Opening the minimum account of 10K, gives you a $500 bonus, plus the iPad which they value at $700.

So thats $1200 in bonus payments which would presumably require 12 million in trading volume (if you close the account prior to achieving the volume, they’ll deduct the value of the bonus). They dont seam to quote spreads for anything that I trade, but their spreads when compared against a couple of other retail brokers are absolutely appalling. As an example they quote a 7 pip spread on GBPJPY compared to 2.6 for Oanda, 15 pips on AUDZND v 6.2 etc etc

Clearly they have to impose a minimum trade volume in order to claw back the costs via the spread, but the spreads are so ridiculously high, its a non starter. If you desperately need an iPad, the smart thing to do is spend $700 on the iPad, and send the remaining $9300 to a broker who charges one third the spread.

Brokers are no charity organizations and all those “free” gadgets will be paid by their customers. I’m wondering why brokers need to come up with such marketing tricks if they just could do just fair business with reliable order execution etc.

I suppose there’s a sizable market out there who just dont understand the basic mechanics of how these sorts of promotions work. They are just exploiting that opportunity and you cant blame them really. I really am horrified that a broker can get away with charging spreads of that kind of size. Those spreads would completely destroy the edge of practically every profitable trader I know. Its scandalous.

Well, if it’s by huge spreads, bad order execution or whatever other cost, some have to pay for the promotions, because the broker doesn’t pay for it. It comes all via customers. I’m not saying every promotion is per se bad. I just do not look for it and I do not calculate based on that. If that is the icing on top, great! Albeit I just calculate with my strategies.

In this case as you already revealed with the huge spreads it’s also obvious that their promotions are not really fair. And, in my experience, brokers seldom do it with a fair background. I mean, I also take advantage of other promotions out of the trading business. For example rebates. Albeit if it comes to brokers, I have never seen any advantage so far with promotions. Even if you go to Las Vegas there are more fair promotions than I’ve ever seen in the trading business.

Las Vegas is a great example you know?
they have these deals - we bring you the hotel, we bring you the food the drinks everything
you just need to gambel X dollars.
They know that most of the people spend more than the cost of the hotel and food

Right. Albeit you can use the promotions from the beginning in Vegas. You can drink or eat it, lol. While the most if not all promos from brokers you can only use if you overtrade. You can’t withdraw it directly.
