If you can trade forex, you can trade indices. Trading is trading regardless of the market. Your trading skills you use for trading forex are transferable to any market, you just need to test your strategies and tweak them to work for the different markets.

nobody “needs” to trade synthetic indices
there is no properly regulated broker offering trading on these synthetic boom/crash index “products” - for reasons not actually too difficult to understand at all! 
this is wild gambling, not “trading” in any recognizable or sensible sense of the word
(in forums, when they are mentioned it’s normally - not always - a sign of a impending ‘promotion’ of some kind - either that, or someone has not appreciated that “indices” and “synthetic indices” are two radically different things!)
