Hello to All, I’ve been trading in Demo for 2 1/2 Yrs. I tried Robots and Indicators. Robots mostly failed, that is, I was never confident enough to go live with a Robot bec results were never stable enough, the best ones that I tried were Fapturbo, Caspian and FX-Millionaire, better than others but as I said still not totally convinced as I did get losses, so I left robots alone. But lately I was able to ten-duple (is that is the right word) that is, grow the demo acct 1003 % in the period of 2 calendar months, did not trade all of business days though. My Question for the Sr Traders here : Is that purely good luck or do I have a chance to obtain similar live results? Do other newbies get this results once in a while? what do you think,
greetings to all:41:
Start small and see.
Put a couple hundred in, ratchet down your lot sizes, and give it a go.
None of us can tell you if you’re ready or not, it’s all up to you.
Good luck!
Agree with Master Tang. I cant say without looking at your system. But 1003% in 2 month is pretty good in my book, if you are using good money management usually people say 1-2% of your capital. If you are over leveraging and getting those results well your just asking to have your account blow up in your face. The only differences between demo and live is psychology, and slippage. other than that its exactly the same. good luck on going live.
Definitely agree with MT. Put in a a small amount and see how you do. You can always add to your account later if you do well.
Ruso, when its about a demo trading … its much easier … when its live trading it differs a lot … so I think u should start with a small deposit, I suggest a mini account with a couple hundreds of $, then you should see then if u’re ready or not !!
One smart thing you should do is write down a detailed description about how you open and manage your trades now, because when trading real money rules are very efficient at overcoming emotions.
^ This. Just take the plunge with a small amount and go for it.
Thanks for all replies, I agree that the psychological aspect could be a (negative) factor. that along slower order execution, etc. could make it hard to achieve the same…I need to keep learning I don’t think I know the real science of it.
How many trades and what leverage? I am asking because I want to graduate from demo back to live - my target was to first be comfortable and happy with SL, TP, psychological aspects and to have a 4x account using a 1-2% risk per trade. If you managed 10x and are still unsure, maybe I should wait longer.
I’d say open a nano account to see if you can double it. If so good keep trading if not back to demo.
