I was in a trade I was waiting for for an hour. My variables are finally all in place, I get in and it goes +30 pips in my favor. Things seem slow, so I figure I’ll take the pips and maybe get back in with less to see if it continues.
Then I get the message, “offqoute,” like three times. While that window is open it goes to only +24. So, I’m like F it I’ll stay in and anyways. Goes down to +34 and I try to get out again and I get out at +30 anyways.
What the F does, “offqoute,” mean at IBFX. You mean to tell me that they can’t accurately qoute the prices on a market they make?
I know price moves and you won’t be able to close at exact prices, but WTF, is offquote?
P.S. should have just done the live chat first with IBFX. It turns off an offquote is almost the same as requote, the price moved. So, it wasn’t there for me to close at. The difference in an offquote is that price changed in the time it took my order to leave my computer and reach their server. Also, was told they don’t create the market. They say they are non dealing desk and don’t trade against you. A straight through processor. They have a pool of banks they deal with, and stated it was in their best interest for a trader with them to win because they make money on a portion of the spread.
P.P.S. funny how requotes can quickly kick in the paranoia and have me thinking that IBFX could be a bucket shop and trading against me.
