I'm Stupid

I just gave up all of my November profits with one dumb greedy play. I’ve been trading long enough now that I should know better, but it just goes to show that poor discipline to mm rules and greed will take your money. Some of us need this drilled in our heads over and over again before we finally get it. I just thought I would share my day as a reminder to everyone. This is a hard market to trade right now. Don’t let dumb basic fundamental mistakes make it even harder.

This proves that it is unchecked greed that blows trading
accounts; not fear. As account balance grows, we all
need to actually reduce risk, not increase it. And don’t
scoff at it; mechanically trade 1% per trade and never
open more than 3 trades concurrently. It’s actually
quite simple when you actually practice it.

m2p dont be hard on yourself!!! Suff happens you know
I ost 7k in a day lastmonth :frowning: but i didnt quit enstead i am learning from my mistake or in my case series of mistakes and growing as a trader you do the same and keep trading what ever you do dnt give up!!!

No giving up for me:D I’m a trader for life. My account is still way up, just 13 disciplined days wiped out because of me, not my strat.

wel im glad your still in the game right on!

Wipe your self off lick your wounds and get back in the game

Yeah, I lost the entire Nov profit as well but I just can’t get rid of the feeling that I’m playing against an old, not very well programmed computer game. What happened to me was that unexplainable detonation upwards yesterday when I had it all set for a turn downwards.

It seems as all exeptional candles, those extremely rare, one of a kind candles easily come in to play when I’m in a trade and I don’t think that I have to point out in which direction they explode.

They only explode (the wrong way) when the contract size is huge.

If you dis-respect this market, you get a spanking.:stuck_out_tongue:

To Mytwopips ;

I still love your sense of humor though.

It is the best on this forum!!

Thank you. You are a great educator. I bet you could teach any subject.
Even though you have formal training as a teacher, I assume that most of your talent is a gift, not the training.

I have a piece of paper tacked to a board next to my monitor that reads,“How cold is cold?” It reminds me that I need to trade with no emotion. I have to be a cold sob, pardon the abbreviation.
