Inner Circle Trader's Pro Traders Club 2012 - 2013 Series

I would rather see training videos made here, not live trades. I joined to grow more from learning not by watching and waiting for handouts. There is no value in watching a trade that is not yours, you have to make your own mistakes to learn. Remember, Not my trade. ICT has already proven his analysis, just look at Inside the Range(my favorite), that was made months ago.
The GOLD MINE is in the training and reviews, and for me they have helped to re-develop my own long term trading strategy and destroy bad habits by identifying my weaknesses. When I make a mistake, I review and go back to the videos. It will all come together when you identify your mistakes especially if they are repetitious.
I am new to some of these theory’s and concepts, but not new to Forex. I can say that the information provided here is way more than enough for anyone that gets it to make out their own plan, remember there are grey areas, no trading system is written in stone. The key is consistency.
I have made a lot of mistakes on my own trying to piece together my plan using what fits my style. I am not a scalper or even a day trader. Long term swing trading is my style with 4 years of humbling experience, the information presented here is worth way more than the $12,000 I spent on training before I retired. I stumbled upon ICT searching for COT analysis and I can say it has been a real eye opener and a true blessing.

I just caught a trade yesterday using entry concepts from inside the range, it was to the pip with 0 drawdown, so why do we need to see ICT’s live trades, there is nothing to prove, this stuff works. I got in before the daily swing was established(not in the rules), but(grey area) London high arrived in OTE as a Judas during LOKZ(the scope), that was my grey area daily 3 bar swing confirmation to start looking at NY to get short. Use the tools and think outside the box.

Fractal history does repeat itself, if you learn from the past you will be armed to conquer the future. Repetitive manipulation is clear and present, submit to it and you will win, fight it and lose(unless you have enough cash to fight the $4 trillion daily volume).

To summarize, ICT’s training has giving me the ability to make a plan( I used to chase), get a bias( another guess), and watch for confluence (used to be OB OS oscillator) to trade the plan or hold off(no loss from guessing or feeling the need to jump in), the weekly reviews and training series were key in learning the concepts.

Thanks ICT for all of your free time and hard work, I know from experience how time consuming editing videos are.

So, I noticed that ICT had a livestream going on just now. I also noticed he was answering questions, but there was no action in the livestream chat. Did I miss a chatroom being created somewhere?

Disagree 100%. I got so much value in watching the live trade example and seeing how he thinks his way through a trade. Not because I want to copy his trades, but because we are taught how to use all these tools but not shown so after seeing an example, it really instilled faith that I am using them correctly.

Training videos are great but so are the live trades for me!!

+2 on this. I just posted a question on the same thing Piphanger asked and deleted the post after I saw it being answered by ICT. I am lucky to have caught the NYO move for both Fiber and Cable, and yes I say I am lucky. I am sure I still don’t know how to use the tools correctly, and I don’t pretend that I am already in sync or understood how it works, but bit by bit, I am sure one will be able to develop a kind of feeling for price action when we look at it every day.

I recently read some books by Larry Williams after hearing the name from ICT. It’s great to be able to go back to the “origins” and see how ICT developed his arsenal from Larry’s concepts and sharing it with us. It’s not easy.

Just took an EU short at OTE 2930 SL at 2948

Reading these last posts, it seems there is a lot of looking for black and white, that’s something it will never be.

I know I keep going on about this all the time, but remember how long it would take to get a college degree, would you expect to learn everything straight away, don’t expect too much too soon.

I know I’m always aiming for understanding every nuance and every corner the market turns, and every tool and method there is, but in the mean time I’m quite happy being a journeyman that do not reach the higher echelons of their trade/careers, but still make a very nice living.

Also with ICT’s material, you really do not need to understand everything to make a profit, I’m probably using less than 50% of the techniques and it’s a lot better than 100% of VSA. I’m building knowledge on knowledge, kind of like this.

  1. I had a look at everything.

  2. I had a look at how indicators were used, I always do this, it’s the programmer in me, love to have a bit of a tinker, but I find them very handy for learning new stuff, I use them as a summary of what’s happening on the charts until I learn what their summarising in the context of the method.

  3. OTE, studied that, now that was a ‘revelation’

edit: 3a. Market Structure.

  1. Levels, remember 2 weeks I traded nothing but levels? Those two weeks, the EURUSD hit those levels like they were walls, I made 20% return on my demo account, but that doesn’t happen all the time of course, but they are always very significant and I now have a fair idea of where in the market this tends to happen more.

EDIT 4a. Market Profile, that I was familiar with but ICT shows a few more details that makes it much more effective.

  1. Zooming out, that was last weeks lesson, so I’ll be on that now.

  2. I’ve not been using the USDX, that’s the next thing.

Something like that anyway, it’s modular, learn it modularly (for want of a term).

Watching price, it ran out of gas after attacking stops on left. OTE with S/R dead center, but the bounce for now looks to be close to 62%.

I decided to enter at market on the close of the candle that formed the STH averaging in to my short position from yesterday.

Not looking at the initial judas down, it means nothing me when looking to sell high in sync with the daily.

How about this for a premise?

that’s almost exactly what i’m looking for. 1.2945 is looking too clean => take out stops, bounce back from 1.2950ish which is OTE, and also reflection from asian range high to todays low. also usdx will be at ote

I was looking at this earlier and got excited. Then I looked at the dollar earlier and it looked like it was falling and forgot about the trade.

Observe and learn young padawan

15m chart too clean, it’ll drop through.

PPF, I’ve also been wanting to do the same. Have you heard of “Mind Mapping” software?
It’s a way to visually lay out a strategy or idea in which you can embed links to documents, graphs & videos etc. would be great as a reference resource.
I spent some time last week scouring the www & found this one;

Free Mind Mapping Software, Freeware, Create mindmaps for brainstorming, problem solving, rational analysis, and decision marking.

This is the best free option I’ve found, but I can’t make it interactive so others on here can use it, unless I have ms excel / word & then possibly import it into google docs…

Ahh, reminds me of my project management days  Yes, I remember having a version of such software, can’t remember what is was though.

Good trade that, I was too cautious, that’s the skill though, you won’t always be, right, it’s getting the balance right.

Hi guys.
Can someone help?
I am using Fx Pro MT4 platfom and I want add ITC kill zone indi…
What hours I must use for London and NY in this indi?

Thx

was it just the ote or what else did you see there? i saw the ote as well, but nothing else so not enough reasons for my taste to enter.

Oh well lets see what happens… I hope to be with the 35% long…

Thanks ppf… I exited half the position at the 100%(.2928) for +20 pips… and have moved rest to BE +10 pips… I was eyeing the .2900 to peel off in the NYOKZ but it just traded through that… so I’m sitting tight to watch the NYOKZ

Whats your thoughts on adding to the position in the NYOKZ or would you sit on your hands?.. I know ICT says to hold until the NYC…

Thanks for the help

Take it as, right, done I’m paid, everything else is a bonus.
