Inner Circle Trader's Pro Traders Club 2012 - 2013 Series

Hi Sparky897

I’ve had a demo account from Oanda since 2004 and it has never had to be reset or anything like that. Never even had an email from them warning demo account about to expire. Even had a hiatus for over 2 years and not even a whisper.

Just signed in and got on with it just as if I had never been away.

The text below this line is taken directly from their website and in my experience it has been totally true. NADA, no phone calls, no emails or any other method attempted to get me to sign up for a live account. It’s been a good experience in my opinion and when I chose to open a live they were the 1st ones I did due diligence on.

TommyL Where did you get that indicator for identifying short, long termand intermediate term market flow?

Didko

I think it’s one of a packet of indicators provided by ICT (you can download it from ICT’s What Every Newbie… thread)

I have a US Live Oanda account and when I click on Show All, I do get more currency pairs (all of the ones I see on the web fxTrade interface, actually), but I don’t get bonds?

Is this a European only thing?

Sheesh, even the European practice account I opened doesn’t give me the CFDs. Do I really need a Live European account?! :frowning:

Seems that, regarding Bonds, Oanda Europe demo feed will provide everything that I have been looking for.
I already have an Asia Pacific Oanda demo account, as stated by others it does not provide Bond prices.

I’ve now applied for an Oanda Europe demo account. Entered that I was a UK resident, although entered an Australian address. Seems that I now have to supply my proof of identity/address documents., so not sure whether or not it will all go through.

try this - also included some notes and instructions

didko, that’s the one I use. thanks Rod.

The bond feeds must be a European thing, I’ve had a look and I have a US demo account so I’m opening a European demo to see if i’ll get the bond feeds.

If I cannot get Oanda bond feeds by Monday I will contact Oanda support, either:

  1. How to access Europen feed?
  2. When will Asia Pacific receive bond feeds?

I downloaded Oanda and it worked, I can see 30, 10, 5 and 2 yr bonds. I live in Spain and therefore put spain as country of origin, maybe it’s as simple as opening a demo and pretend you’re european? :open_mouth: You don’t have to show any proof or anything.

Oanda doesn’t have EURX or USDX though. :frowning:

I am enjoyed following your discussion the past two weeks, my university schedule has changed so I have mornings every day to waste time staring at charts and checking in with the rest of you. :stuck_out_tongue: (I’m in GMT time) Hopefully I can learn something in the next four months.

I’m also committing to keep an eye on bonds as well. Look forward to this.

Hey all,
I asked a few weeks ago about getting the USDX on MT4. I have found a solution ont he MT4 Demo I already have installed (IBFX)
Go to your mt4 option, server. then delete current server name and replace with mt.forexua.com:443
Then close mt4, and restart, open new account. now add new chart, you will find forex2 was created and will find usdx.

This may help someone

Thanks, finally. Now I just need to figure out why I didn’t get the bonds when I signed up for a demo European account on Oanda.

I did sign up as “United States”. Should I have said “United Kingdom” instead?

Your IP address will identify your country of origin

Did ICT post his custom indicators somewhere?

!!! I will try this, my live account is IBFX too. I previously went to their customer service and asked for USDX and it was a no can do. !!!

yes, you can find them at first post on this thread:

the MT4 Collection

following discussions on bonds i’ve installed AFX Capital and Oanda platforms, and notice some difference in quotes. For US 10 year, AFX shows 131.06/10 and chart price is 131.07, Oanda shows 131.37/39. Does anyone know why this difference, could it be due to quotes at the open or i am possibly looking at different assets. Thanks for any input

Yes also have notice that. Even if you look at 15 min chart on Friday some cradles open and close price is different from Oanda. Not sure why is it like that

yes makes you wonder, i opened 2 demo trades, buy AFX sell Oanda to see what’s going on over the next 24 hours.
