When the USDX makes lower highs, the Fiber/Cable should be making higher lows (weak USD, strong foreign currency)… At they minute, they are not diverging (Fiber and USDX)
Have a look at this, 15M TF:
For bullish divergence, we should have foreign currency making higher lows as USDX makes higher highs OR foreign currency makes lower lows as USDX makes lower highs.

Took 20 pips on that H&S pattern on eurusd. News was mixed. I reckon the US news is gonna be interesting in the next 15 or so mins.
I completely understand that to be a divergence but how do you know it’s bullish?

If you’re looking at divergence at the LOWS on foreign currency, that implies bullish.
If you are looking for bearish divergence then it would be, higher highs on foreign currency with higher lows on USDX, OR lower highs on foreign currency with lower lows on USDX.
EDIT: So, whether you’re looking for divergence between two pairs (e.g. EU and GU) or divergence between one pair and USDX, if the divergence is occurring at the highs on the foreign currency then that implies bearish, if it’s occurring at lows on foreign currency then that implies bullish.
Please let me know if this doesn’t sound right because I don’t want to be giving out bad advice :55:

Looking at 15 min USDX and fibre/cable like jonnycab said, it seems that higher high formed with usdx and higher low with cable/fire.
I don’t understand how to interpret the information from seeing this particular move.

In the first bit ICT mentioned something about Larry william’s and his S&P open to close strategy ICT mentions something about if your long biased buy on the first hour break or vice versa.
Here’s my question if you have that most recent recording before it went down… Did he mean the first hour of trading? 10:30am OR the first hour candle?
I remember it being mentioned but I dont remember that specific.
If usdx is posting a higher high, that is saying that fibre should be posting a lower low, if it is not then that is indicating that euro is being bought - in this instance then I look at eur/gbp for direction (recently, more correlated to fibre)
Example is tonight’s 1 hr usdx, fibre and e/g - over the past 3 days there is slight divergence - usdx has slightly higher high not followed by the 2 crosses - indicates possible euro strength - the greater the divergence the greater the strength.
(I also look at the US bond prices to see if any divergence, again tonight no higher high on 1 hr over past 3 days - see barchart znz12 time period 2 months, daily nearest)
