Intermarket analysis is a very important concept - John Murphy (of TA renown) wrote a good book on the subject - it’s now almost 20 yrs yet the concepts remain true.
It’s the focus that changes with time - in recent months the market is focussed on inflation - the more likely that a country’s inflation may rise the it’s currency will do likewise - yet if the currency is rising on the back of expected rate increases to fight increasing inflation then that country’s stocks will fall because increased int rates weigh on the P&L of business.
