well i know there will be none that can work consistantly for years as the market changes daily but i’m just looking for 1 to just make some good profits before it dies out. i have heard some success stories with some such as megadroid and forex mutant, but i wanted to get some more feedback before i buy again. :o
If you are looking for consistent profits I think you should consider a signal service or managed account as a better strategy since they often provide a combination of EA + manual discretion. I have been using signal services for several months and consistently earning between 10-20% monthly. I am averaging over $400 per week trading 0.10 lots per position for every USD 10,000. Originally, I traded 0.10 lots for every USD 3000, but that’s a bit more risky. I am happy I found these signal services early because I noticed how so many EAs just can’t adapt to the market quick enough. Even the recently released “super duper over-hyped” FRWC EAs, priced at USD 1000, are struggling … the FRWC team just released the 3rd (I think) update yesterday.
Here are some signal service providers you should investigate, in no particular order …
RentASignal … several years history, large number of signal providers, fairly easy to pick successful signal providers, provide good support and custom-software, monthly subscription
Global Forex Signals … large number of signal providers, good metrics, monthly subscription
ZipSignals … seems relatively new, not many signal providers yet, will keep watching this service, monthly subscription
ZuluTrade … large number of signal providers, they offer one month demo accounts, still trying to figure out their metrics to determine profitable signals, they make money on the spread which can damage actual performance with scalping signals
Collective2 … several years history, large number of signal providers, good metrics, monthly subscription
FX-Auto … large number of signal providers, they partner with many brokers directly, similar signal providers as FX-Auto, SignalTrader, Tradency
SignalTrader … large number of signal providers, similar signal providers as FX-Auto, SignalTrader, Tradency
Tradency … large number of signal providers, similar signal providers as FX-Auto, SignalTrader, Tradency
ReviewPips also has a section where they review signal services
Since I can’t post links, perhaps you could PM or email me for suggestions to get you going.
Guru trader,
That was kind of you to respond to my request. I do not much have experience with these forums and blogs. Off and on I follow this forum.
I tried a forex service on a one week free trial and did very poorly. They offered free access until I made 500 pips but I decided to go back to what I had been working on myself. I’ve also looked into the collective 2 and Global and most of the choices they have are very expensive. I do question why people will sell a service when if it worked they should be able to make enough money with their strategy. I do think some people just like to teach which is a fair motive.
In searching for a consistent trading strategy that produces a regular predictable profit over the last 8 months I have finally found that my application of indicators worked consistently when I applied them within strict boundaries.
What I was doing wrong was attempting to trade at various times and various currency pairs with an expectation of success.
I now average about 30 pips a day trading just the EUR/USD from 6 am to 9 am PST. I only trade during this period of time and only trade the EUR/USD on the 5 and 15 charts with candle sticks. I use some pretty basic indicators including 20 and 50 sma’s, overlaid 5, 20 and 50 cci 's, bolinger bands, price channels and the para sars.
I set my stops and targets using the price channels instead of pivots.
These ideas came mostly from this forum with my own twist.
I’m humbled by the brutual reality of the markets. I used to trade too much. Now I just put on about 2-3 trades during the morning window. If I make 30 pips or more on my first trade I’m done for the day.
I like the way the EUR/USD moves somewhat in concert with the ES Futures.
I only trade one mini contract at a time right now. I will go to two contracts after I continue to experience success over time.
Thanks for your help and advice.
Greg
whoch one did you use the longest and found to be more attractive
On my system, I use with good results Ilan Hi_Lo EA and Vampire EA, with the both of them going you can see about 12% weekly per account of $500 depot.
I am making profits. My stats
I’d like to add this code to my signature. Does anyone know is it possible here?
I’m actually doing a similar thing to you Gurutrader. However I’m following a group of traders that I have personally recruited so that I can follow them through the use of a trade copier.
You can view my journey where I am attempting to turn $30k (live funds) into $300k on my YouTube channel.
Ilan??
Ouch! Your account must be empty now :54:
Yes ea can make profit.
As my experience only grid martingales are working. Signal trade ea never works.
I use Forex Hero and its profitable for me.
Thanks.
Martingale systems are very dangerous. A martingale EA doubled my account, i was happy, then it blew it up.
And this happened to many other people.
Experienced traders advice to leave the martingale systems.
Soon or late you come home and your EA is still smiling, but the account is empty.
I never heard or read about a martingale EA that is secure.
How long have you been using your EA?
… You´re welcome
Impressive one week growth. I wish you the best in your mission to succeed. I will continue to follow you in your journey and watch for your weekly updates. Watching is one thing, but how can we participate in your glory?
I made an EA and it’s been working for 4 months on demo. Went live 2 weeks ago and so far its made 82 pips . Whether it will profit forever, we will see!
