Is there such a thing as a Broker with Zero to Little Slippage?

Hi all… question as a relative newbie…

Are all brokers the same when it comes to slippage/delays during high volatility periods i.e. economic events?

Do some brokers choose to actively combat this and offer faster execution? … they all advertise ‘fast execution’… but are there brokers who use a different system so that they can actually offer this… what type of broker would I need to search for if this is the case?

Is there a difference in using a brokers own platform over an MT4 platform?

I have a strategy that focuses on economic events on the calendar and need to know if my choice of broker and/or their platform is going to make a difference?

There is something similar to what you say but I have only seen it being available to the institutional traders. they pay less than 1$ of commission on their accounts. that’s mostly because they use the broker they are working for.

There are some brokers that have almost zero spread, but charge a fixed commission per trade. I prefer these brokers.
