Kangaroo EA - Anyone using?

I came across KangarooEA, i only like AUDUSD as EURUSD are unstable at the moment.

So anyone using it? What setting are you guys using?

Not yet but I am looking into it for 2012. There are several accounts, both demo and live if you search on myfxbook, I have been tracking a few of them.

Do you have a myfxbook account with yours?

Can you post here some results? Thanks

If this is the one, then it looks a real stinker.

To me the money management seems a bit of a concern?

Aledx,

I am following Brit’s and the official one here TulipFX’s Profile | Myfxbook

Beware that the official one is a very small account therefore easy to show big %% gains.

What I like so far is that the developers seem to be professional, the site does not have eccessive marketing hype and I did not see any 9,900% in one month accounts out there. Everything seems to be balanced about it.

Did not make my mind up yet though.

Hi Guys! The Developer(s) of KangarooEA here.

I am not sure that the KangarooEA should be under the ‘Holy Grail’ heading. It is not that, just a good solid system.

Some people talk about brokers, and how important it is to select a good one. I see it in the couple of commercial EAs I run on my personal account.

Forex Combo’s profitability for me is about 50% higher than it is on Birt’s forward tests. He was using cent accounts for his forward tests until recently. As some may know, cent accounts are market made - so have less ticks and slower price feeds than normal accounts.

Even full account brokers differ. Also their ping from your trading location to your broker. I personally use Pepperstone and can receive up to 20 ticks per second from their servers at a ping of 0-2ms.

I have compared this to other brokers and some have up to ten times…!! less ticks. Less ticks = less information.

Why am I talking about ticks? Well KangarooEA uses complicated regression calculations to make its trading decisions. These calculations are influenced by the amount of information, or ticks received.

That is why you see poor performance on demo + cent accounts. They simply do not send through the same amount of information that a well set up VPS + broker does.

The exact same KanagrooEA, except on the Collective with a 2ms ping.

[I was hoping to include a picture from MyFxBook of the results, but I can’t as this is my first post. You can access it via our TulipFX site to see it. If someone with adequate posts could put the link up that would be helpful to everyone]

This shows dramatically how broker selection is important to your trading, especially if you use EAs.

We did a blog talking about brokers and how your choice on which to use is an important one. Unfortunately as this is my first post I can’t reference it, but you can find it on the 2nd page of articles on out TulipFX site.

I hope this email provides you with some good information about trading EAs. Best of luck to you all!

Hello ozzie, do you know if it works fine with a hotforex currenex account?

thanks

Hi arbolive.

We really don’t like HotForex. If you visit our site we have an extensive blog on how to choose a good broker - and why it is important.

On our forum our members discuss brokers, and most have found that the trading conditions at HotForex are not very good. We have an indicator which counts the number of ticks a broker puts through to clients. A vital factor in selecting which broker to go with.

In the end, any broker which offer inducements to join IMO is questionable. They’ll recover that offer somehow. For me, I am much happier sticking to a good quality broker offering a high tick rate feed.

doeas anyone has the Kangaroo EA? Can you share me this or post a download link?

thanks

i use it and really love it, is a precise machine. is out of the market now to prevent it to become massive and start messing the market movement. if you want to be posted about it go to their website:

Thank you for your quick reply!

tulipFX stopped selling it on the 1st of December 2012. Could you send it to me? My address is : lhitter at gmail.com

Thank you in advance!

nope, if they stopped selling licenses is not ethical from my part to give you my licence, or give the bot away to be educated.

but fear not, they have other awesome bot coming, so if you want to take a look you are welcome.
