I have sometimes encountered people who believe weird stuff or conspiracy theories. They are easily brought back down to Earth when you ask them what they do not believe in.
I concur that it is not necessary to comment on every occurrence in the world; however, certain events demand attention, especially when they recur frequently, and perhaps you have experienced this as well.
If youāre looking for a good laugh, ask them a yes or no question about their falsehood and observe their reaction.
Thatās definitely so.
And unfortunately, that often turns out to be part of the problem. Not the fact in itself that all opinions are welcome. More the reality that follows it: because all opinions are welcome, they often tend to be given equal weight, and ascribed equal value, too. And thatās just wrong.
I donāt mind that all opinions are welcome, but I do find itās a problem that we canāt see how many people dislike or the dislike button on social media.
