I dont think there is any schools perse in the states but I know Forex finance is taught in the UK
There is a school right on this site. Second to none. It shouldn’t cost you anything but time to learn this business.
thank you for ur reply
but i think i should have more knowledge about finance , economic , … so i think it is better than if i learn about finance more > u think it’s right ?
Go with finance or accounting.
Then if you plan on going further
to grad school; international banking
MBA. Economy now has very little
to do with any long term or short
term movement in the market.
Just my humble opinion … go to higher education for general knowledge, take courses in math, literature, economics, history, philsophy or whatever interests you most. It will help develop the way you think.
But you do not need university courses to learn forex. A bright 12 year old could learn to do this. Math helps, but more than that it is just patience & discipline … and experience.
So if you have the possiblilty, go to University but in the meantime open a demo forex account and start practicing trading. In a year or so (or sooner), you can fund a $500 micro account and continue practicing.
Your advanced education will help you to think in a logical manner and to express yourself clearly … but your practice account in forex could build you an income that will surpass any that you could earn in the corporate world.
I completely agree with 4xstar. A friend of mine is in his 3rd year and he plans to be an accountant. Many of his classes are centered around the corporate financial world. Guess what… He knows less about this market than I do. I mean we both knew the “general basics” but other than that we are completely par. The difference, I took the school of pipsology, and practice daily in demo. Take classes for what you love, make forex your passion after that:). Good Luck in your decisions. Raven
I wish I was looking at this when I was in grade 12. I wouldn’t have bothered with college (at least not until after I was rich for general self improvement). But then I probably wouldn’t have listened to anyone because that’s how I was at that age.
If you’re going to school to learn a trade/profession - make sure they’re teaching what you want to do. They won’t teach you Forex in university.
This is about being an entreprenuer - a business owner. While you can take what you learn in university and possibly turn it into a business, they don’t teach you that you should do your own business. Book smarts doesn’t necessarily equate with common sense.
I wouldn’t go to my dentist to learn how to program my computer, or my mechanic to learn how to play an instrument. If you want to learn Forex - listen to people that DO Forex. Makes sense right?
The only thing I think I would like formal education to help with would be , Fundamentals , and basic accounting ( how to setup and manage your trading to the best tax advantage )
With that in mind I would look at International Finance, and Basic Bussiness Courses. It would be great to hear a comment by some banker and KNOW for a fact which way that comment is going to swing which currency. Yes you can learn that with exprience and I am personnally getting better at it. But just watch almost any news release and you see that there are lots of folks who take the news and choose the wrong direction.
Anyway as stated by most here practice is the best exprience and at your age you have the time to learn this. So just take each part and learn it and move to the next. At some point you will see how it all fits together and where your trading style fits in…
So best of luck and just give it the time it will require.
i appreciate your postes
