I want to open a new account with $1000 and trade micro slot 1000, leverage is 3:1. And what Leverage affect to Lot Size & Pip Value?
u/j=119.80
=> 0.01/119.80x1000= 0.08$ ( pip value )
Then Leverage 3:1 mean my pip value will be $0.08x3=$0.24?
please explain this point , thank you:confused:
Leverage doesn’t dictate or calculate your per pip value or lot size!
You do.
There are two types of leverage:
-
Available leverage = what your broker allows. 100:1 is what they allow not what you have to use.
-
Actual leverage, or leverage used.
You choose the lot size, which determines the per pip value.
All your leverage really does is determines how much you need in your account to cover open trades.
1 lot is still 1 lot, the same per pip value regarless of available or used leverage.

If you trade a $1,000 micro lot in a $1,000 account you are using NO LEVERAGE.
Your leverage used is 1:1 (not 3:1 as you stated).
Regarding the price of the U/J, I have no idea what you are talking about. The U/J is currently 0.9184 bid.
Pip value for this pair is currently $0.11 per micro lot.
Total pip value for your 1-micro-lot position is also $0.11
Leverage, margin, and lot size have been explained over and over again, in the Babypips Forum. Do a search.
