Hi, I trying to understand the trend channels and trading with them, and I draw the trend channels by the system- A B C , but How to know Is some channel is correct when as you can see on below pics, here I can draw more of 1 trend channels, sooo which channels is correct becouse I should watch for pullback but wich of the lines? The blue lines or Red? And why? And how next time to be sure that I draw correct lines?
Drawing channels is a subjective art. Sometimes a “proper” channel will just jump off the chart at you and other times… you may think you have created the Sistine Chapel ceiling of channels while someone else will think your artistic vision is a 3rd grader’s failed art project.
I don’t know of any consistent, mechanical means to determine channels.
If your risk management is top notch and you use trailing stops everytime with initial stops, you will be able to buy and sell relentlessly scalp with impunity and make money.
Once the initial 15 point trailing stop kicks in, if I want to try for a longer trade I turn it off at break even and hope the market goes walkabout in the right direction.
But the price does not always pullback to the lines, and it seems we missed the moment for entry. Sometimes even, the price pullback to the line but then continued and does not return the way is then after pullback…?
