Hi, I am reading J Persons Candlestick & Pivot Point Trading Triggers, and he mentions the 3 period pivot point moving average, and I cant take the “how to in” anyone out there simplify it a little.
I read that MT 4 has it built in, “Indicators-MA” set it to Typical(HLC/3)
I wonder is it the same as setting the MT4 to 3 periods and typical(HLC/3).
Any knowledge on this matter would be appreciated.

From what I’ve seen, it there’s not much difference between it and a simple moving average. Buy & sell signals are triggered the same way regardless, just perhaps at slighly different prices.
